In this session, we will discuss and explore the key radiologic features of 10 entities, some of which may be commonly seen, some of which may be variations of normal anatomy or hamartomas, and others of which may be “true lesions” that may require action and follow-up. 

Time constraints, a lack of confidence, production-driven procedures taking precedence, or the belief a patient isn’t at risk, are reported reasons a comprehensive evaluations are not complete or performed at all. When a clinician is skilled and confident in performing a procedure, it is more likely to be completed comprehensively and efficiently.

In this session, we will discuss and explore the key radiologic features of 10 entities, some of which may be commonly seen, some of which may be variations of normal anatomy or hamartomas, and others of which may be “true lesions” that may require action and follow-up. Part 2 will include the next 5 diagnoses.

This presentation will provide the foundation for decision-making on the management of intrabony periodontal defects, including surgical design, choices regarding bone grafting options, the utilization of biologic mediators, and graft containment considerations.
